While the gr. 4 students get the Bighouse experience for two days, the Gr. 5 students are staying at school but getting a leadership opportunity in a primary class.  Armed with 2 stories, a planned game and an iPad, the students will have a chance to lead some activities with younger children as well as record their experience (pictures, video footage) to work on a bilingual iMovie once back in class.
They are taking these responsibilities very seriously.  As a team, they are having to do  some pre-planning, introduce themselves to the primary teachers (some have to do it by email) and they also have a series of tasks to accomplish during their two days in the primary class.
We look forward to sharing within our class about Gr. 4's and 5's varied experiences!!

You arrive at school only to realize that you've left your DDLS binder on the counter at home.... you thought your agenda was in your bag but when you look in, it's gone!  You were sure that you had left your worksheet at home but it's nowhere to be found!! You suddenly realize you've left your lunch bag in the car!
Is organization a challenge?  It is for most people.  I can have many moments where I feel like I know where everything is and then, I'm not sure what happens, but I feel TOTALLY disorganized.  If you ask most adults, they feel the same way.  So for a student?  Just realize it is part of life and one of those things that YOU JUST HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DO!!
•  USE YOUR AGENDA WELL
•  MAKE LISTS
•  USE POST-IT NOTES
•  MAKE A REMINDER POSTER of what needs to go in

your backpack before you go to school.... & at the end
    of the day!

Use any strategy that will help you to keep yourself and your school work organized.  Welcome to growing up!!!  This is a responsibility that you have to take on sooner rather than later....  =)
