Today, we had our very first class meeting. I was very impressed by how all the students approached the class meeting in a very calm, respectful, grown up manner. Our gr. 5's will be beginning to chair the meetings starting next week. The gr. 4's will also all have a chance to chair a class meeting before the end of the school year.
We started discussions of our compilation of this morning's brainstorming for "What is an ideal classroom?". Good opinions were shared and good discussions ensued. We will continue next week and hope to have an agreement in place soon. It will be published on our classroom website!
Next week, parents will also have an opportunity to leave their thoughts for "What is an ideal classroom?". There will be a large web on the board that can be added to during the "open classroom" portion of the Carnival evening.
